At Ember & Coal we believe that furniture of the highest quality and design requires the highest level of craftsmanship… it is inescapable. We also believe that everything has a purpose and our shop waste plays some role in the greater design; we strive for a zero waste shop to maximize our potential and minimize our impact. We use our off-cuts for heating our home, our sawdust and wood shavings go toward building our compost and feeding our vegetable garden. We create products made from reclaimed and ethically-sourced wood, use designs that are original and unique, and provide an heirloom quality that will last for generations.
